He has hit us again with another huge release. A documentary on the great man himself. Releasing June 7 on Netflix this looks like a great story about his life and how he got there. This three part documentary series chronicles Arnold Schwarzenegger’s journey from rural Austria to one of Hollywood's most popular movie stars, ever!

Wasn't expecting this but Arnold has new book Be Useful: Seven Tools for Life due out later this year. He is signing hundreds of copies that are supposed to be the standard price. I doubt we will see any here, but I hope so. He has been signing a couple hundred a day so there is hope. He writes 'The seven rules to follow to realize your true purpose in life—distilled by Arnold Schwarzenegger from his own journey of ceaseless reinvention and extraordinary achievement, and available for absolutely anyone.'

In collaboration with BMW and its new BMW iX all electric vehicle, BMW have released the cutest official Peggy plush toy. Arnold and Ralfi do an ASMR unboxing. ASMR stands for 'autonomous sensory meridian response' which is the tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine. These videos have the volume turned way up so you can hear all the subtle sounds. Anyway it's a new fad thing that will surely go away soon. As luck would have it I was able to get hold of one of these adorable little Pegasusses. Yes, he is so soft.
SUPERBOWL AD

Arnold stars in a commercial for BMW's iX electric car that aired at this year's Super Bowl. In the ad, he plays Greek god Zeus, who is going into retirement with his wife, the goddess Hera, who is played by Salma Hayek.
The power couple heads to Palm Springs for some much-needed rest and relaxation. While lounging in the pool , Arnold is bothered by a neighbour, who is asking for a bolt of electricity to charge up her hedge trimmer. This actually Marianne Muellerleile the first Sarah Conner we see the Terminator kill in T1. He is just about to take the couple's adorable pet Pegasus for a walk when Hera reveals she has bought him a brand-new BMW iX. As the two take their new ride for a spin, they sing Eddy Grant's 1982 hit, "Electric Avenue."

CAR ACCIDENT
January 2022
Arnold was involved in a car accident, he was driving a GMC Yukon when it collided with a red Prius. His SUV started to roll and ended up on top of the Prius. The woman who was driving the Prius was injured and an ambulance took her to the hospital. Arnold was uninjured. Law enforcement sources say they believe the accident was Arnold's fault. They say he was turning left but that the left turn arrow was still red. Arnold was not given a ticket.

There has been a terrible development with Triplets, it looks a though Eddie Murphy has dropped out. Reports tell us that he is to be replaced by Tracy Morgan, I'm not a big fan but we will see how he goes.
*Update Feb 2022* Absolutely devastating news has come through of the passing of Ivan Reitman. This puts a hold on the project. Ivan Reiman "who I think is fantastic" (in Arnold accent) was a huge name in Hollywood and has worked on so many great movies. He gave Arnold his big comedy break. He will be missed.
KUNG FURY 2

This has been on the books for a while, the first movie was a cool over the top crazy plot, filmed in bad/great 80's VHS video quality. In this movie Kung Fury battles Hitler and a mysterious new villain in 1985 Miami. Together with his Thundercops, King Fury takes on the notorious villain as he travels through time and space to defeat evil once and for all. Arnold plays the President.
FUBAR

Arnold will star in his first first scripted television series called FUBAR (also referred to as Utap). A father and daughter (Monica Barbaro) have both been working as secret CIA Operatives for years, but each kept their involvement in the CIA hidden from the other. Upon learning of each other’s day jobs, the pair are forced to work together as partners. Filming will take place in Toronto, Canada. It looks like Tom Arnold may have a role, although it ha a similar plot to True Lies it's not connected.
Superhero Kindergarten

It has been in the works for a while but Stan Lee's Superhero Kindergarten has been announced. This is said to be the very last project Stan was working on before his passing in 2018. We don't know much about the story other than Arnold being an ex-hero now teaching kindergarten kids. I am looking forward to to although I expect because it is made for such a young age it will have very basic content.
Predator Hunting Grounds

Predator Hunting Grounds will be released soon and they have announced that Arnold will return as an aged Major Alan 'Dutch' Schaefer as a downloadable character (which you will have to buy as an add on). He will also lend his voice to cassette tapes found throughout the game recorded as a audio diary after the events of 1987's Predator. Seeing some game footage it looks pretty good.
Goodbye Franco

Terrible news has come through that Franco Columbu has passed away.
Apparently he was swimming in his hometown of Sardinia, Italy and suffered a heart attack and drowned. Franco was on top of my list of people I wanted to meet. He and Arnold were absolute best friends for so many years. You will not be forgotten Franco.
Arnold made a statement and ended with this...
I love you Franco. I will always remember the joy you brought to my life, the advices you gave me, and the twinkle in your eye that never disappeared. You were my best friend.

SILICON VALLEY COMIC CON

There was a huge Terminator reunion at the Silicon Valley Comic Con held in San Jose, CA on August 16-18th. Arnold was there signing autographs and doing professional photos with fans. This is the first comic convention Arnold has attended as far as I know. Other Terminator stars were there as well including Michael Biehn (Reese), Jenette Goldstein (Janelle), Kristan Loken (T-X), Danny Cooksey (Tim), Edward Furlong (John Connor) and Robert Patrick (T-1000). All but Arnold were at a speaking panel, wish I could have been there for that. I am lucky to have met Michael and Robert before. Arnold liked it so much he is intending to bring a comic con feel to the Classic in Ohio next year.
Kicked from behind

Arnold was walking the floor at the South African Arnold Sports Festival, just as he finished a Snap chat a nutjob came running up behind him and did a flying kick into Arnold's back. He lurched forward but turned around to see one of his security pounce on the man. He later Tweeted 'Thanks for your concerns, but there is nothing to worry about. I thought I was just jostled by the crowd, which happens a lot. I only realized I was kicked when I saw the video like all of you. I’m just glad the idiot didn’t interrupt my Snapchat.' You can hurt a Terminator, he continued visiting other parts of the expo. As far as I know he hasn't pressed charges against the attacker.
2019 AUSSIE ARNOLD CLASSIC

The Australian ASF celebrated its 5th year and I have been lucky enough to attend every year. This year I was able to get a photo with Bob Lorimer. On day 2 Arnold walked the floor in his security bubble and was able to say hello to Heather through the security and asked her to sign the photo of the two of us from the first Aussie Arnold Classic in 2015. She gracefully did so and remembering who I was, to my amazement offered for me to enter the security bubble and walk the floor with them. Once we arrived at the strong man arena Arnold, Daniel (his assistant) and Heather sat down and I stood beside them. Then I was surprised when Arnold’s son Christopher walked over and sat down, he has never been to the festival before. I did ask him for a photo but he said no thanks, which I understand as he doesn’t seem to like being in the media. Chris then left before we continued on. After visiting more areas we made our way out of the expo through exit doors to waiting cars. I thanked Heather from a couple of metres away from the car she and Arnold were in. Then all of a sudden Arnold waived me over, so I jumped 2 barriers and zoomed to his open window. He greeted me using my name for a quick chat and said we should get a selfie. A massive thank you to Heather for this amazing experience. Sunday morning I had my professional photo with Arnold and then he gave a short seminar to a small crowd. He talked about all the usual things he does in interviews but added that one thing he would like to learn is how to sing. Saying as a boy his mother would elbow him in church to be quite as he had a terrible voice. After that he walked the floor one last time, this time I was just a fan in the crowd. He then left the expo and seeing his Instagram post he was then at the Melbourne Zoo visiting kangaroos. Overall another fantastic event. Can’t wait until next year.
We are Ladder

Arnold has started and new supplements company along with basketball star LeBron James, supermodel Cindy Crawford and Olympic skier Linsdey Vonn called Ladder. Their slogan is "There's no magic pill" meaning you still have to put in the work to get the results. Wood Carving

Wood carving artist James O’Neal created an incredible life-sized Arnie out of a tree trunk and documented the entire process on Instagram. Carved from black oak, the impressive piece measures 1.88 meters in height (approximately 6′ 2″ tall) and took 6 months to complete. It depicts Schwarzenegger standing in his signature bodybuilding “vacuum pose,” capturing his muscular, v-shaped physique and flexed arms. A polyurethane coat brings out rich tones and the wood’s beautiful natural grain, as well as lifelike details such as wood-carved veins on the arms
Open Heart Surgery
March 2018
Arnold is recovering after undergoing open-heart surgery again. He had the problem from birth, that believe it or not made him feel lethargic up until he had the valve replaced in 1997 and was now due to be replaced again. Daniel released the above statement after the procedure was complete.

2018 AUSSIE ARNOLD CLASSIC

This year the 2018 Arnold Sports Festival took up the whole exhibition centre. But there really wasn't much more content than last year, still heaps to see. As always there was no stand with anything to do with Arnold, I wish the Nowak jackets would come back or they bring an Arnold themed merchandise stand other than the official t-shirt stand. Once again no old school bodybuilders, we need Lou of Franco or someone! The Arnold seminar didn't give any new information, but they did a live auction for framed reproduction Arnold movie items. I got a quick picture with Wayne Price the organiser of the Arnold Sports Festival Africa. On Sunday while waiting for our professional photo with Arnold we were taken to a waiting room that had chairs, food and coffee, this was really good and made us feel like VIPs. I hope they continue this as it is a lot better than standing in a line waiting.

Nooooooo!!! Arnold, Heather, Ralf, Daniel and Katie (Daniel and Katie were in the middle of their honeymoon) all travelled to Thal earlier in the month and celebrated Arnold's birthday. That means he will not be there for his actual birthday while I'm there. Oh well it's still going to be f'n cool. I will have heaps of time to explore the museum and all around town. There is an Arnold trivia night on the 29th in Graz so I will be there for that too.
WONDERS OF THE SEA 3D

Directed by Jean-Michel Cousteau and Jean-Jacques Mantello this 85-minute doco will be narrated by Arnold. It was filmed over three years from Fiji to the Bahamas, with the aim to discover the ocean as never before seen and learn more about the threats that put it at risk. “When I first saw the footage of this film, I was blown away and I immediately wanted to be involved,” said Schwarzenegger, who is also a producer. “It is not only an incredible visual feast but it is also conveying a strong message about the need to protect our ocean. The perfect use of 3D in this film gives you the feeling that you are actually diving with all these creatures. I am pleased to not only lend my voice to the movie but also to get involved in its promotion.”

As promised this year was bigger although mostly due to bringing the outside activities inside and they did add some wheelchair sports. I was lucky to find out that Arnold was doing some TV interviews nearby and got some cool shots (first 2 pics). He did a separate 'business seminar' which ended up just being a normal interview with some Q&A, I was in line to ask about Predators but missed out to the same old "who were your mentors" and "what's your favourite profession".....boring. This year his son Patrick was with him and I got what I think may have been his only autograph, check out the encounter page. Also this year they held the inaugural Arnold Classic Family Walk which my wife and kids attended. Unfortunately it was not organised very well with no designated route to walk, volunteers not knowing much and no finish line to speak of, hopefully next year will improve. Also absent was any other major bodybuilding celebs, I really can't recall any worth seeing.
Terminator in 3D

Updated: Terminator 2 has been remastered in 4K and getting a worldwide 3D cinema release. Australia is getting it August 24th 2017. Above you can see the difference from the original on the left and the new version on the right. I am a little worried it will loose it's blue haze which I think adds to it's charm. James Cameron has overseen the whole process and has said they have only modified one scene with CGI which is when the T-1000 drives the truck off the bridge and as it lands the windscreen falls out, then moments later the screen reappears as the T-1000 pushes it out. But it also looks like they replaced Peter Kent's face (Arnold's stunt double) with Arnolds, we will have to wait and see.
Dinner with Robert Patrick

Robert Patrick came to Australia for our Oz Comic Con, so I was there to get a photo with him and have it autographed (See encounters page). They also offered a dinner package with him but when I enquired I was told it had sold out. Luckily my mate Dan who is mentioned in my very first story below somehow was able to buy all the seats on the table and let me get a spot along with 7 others. The dinner itself was pretty average, all the celebs form the con were in the same big room at different tables and it was quite noisy. But that didn't stop us chatting the entire time. I asked various things from T2 to Sons Of Anarchy to his motorcycle club Boozefighters. This was truly a once in a life time opportunity and he is the nicest guy you could meet.
Why We're Killing Gunther

Schwarzenegger will play Gunther, the world’s greatest hitman who’s a show-off and steals jobs. The other assassin are sick of it and a group of them band together to take him out, but their plans quickly turn into a series of fails as Gunther always appears one step ahead.
It's an action comedy that will be directed by Saturday Night Live star Taran Killam, making his directorial debut.
He will also star along with Cobie Smulders, Bobby Moynihan, Paul Brittain, Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park and Ryan Gaul.
THE 2ND AUSSIE ARNOLD CLASSIC

This year was much bigger with more things on offer, the merchandise was stepped up a notch too. I was told that next year they have booked out the whole convention center. Added to the schedule are things like Rubik's cube and chess were some lucky guy got to play with Arnold as he walked randomly through the exhibition. They still need to bring out more old school legends like Franco, Lou or Zane. A mate from New Zealand came over just to attend and another from Tasmania made it over too. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to come face to face with Arnold like last year, though I did sneak a photo with his assistant Daniel. Also Shawn Ray and Chris Cormier had a seminar and afterwards took photos with everyone. Got the chance to have a long chat with Roland Kickinger away from the crowds. (Arnold's body double in Terminator Salvation and played him in See Arnold Run) Bring on next year!!!
MY KIDS AT THE CLASSIC

On the Saturday I left my ticket at home to get into see the men’s bodybuilding finals, so my wonderful wife drove my ticket in and the kind security guard let her and my kids in to find me. Not long after we met up the unmistakable commotion of Arnold entering the floor erupted. I looked at my wife and she just said "GO" I spent the next 20mins or so moving with the security team following Arnold from stand to stand and finally to the strong man area. Once I got home my wife told the story of how Arnold walked past her and the kids and she and my daughter got to see him, because of the crowd my son missed out. He started crying at missing out, all of a sudden Arnold came back past so she lifted him up and he took the great pic above. Then he was excited that he saw him, but he was confused as to why Arnold didn't stop to say hello as he thinks Arnold and his dad are best friends (I wish). I'm also proud that my kids tell everyone they went to the Arnold Classic and saw Arnold.
ARNOLD JACKETS

I was disappointed to find that there would be no Arnold Jackets by Tony Nowak at last year’s Aussie Classic. I sent an email to them asking if they were attending and the reply was that they were not. But was overjoyed to turn a corner this year to see the Arnold Jacket stand. I immediately went in and bought last years (2015) and the current (2016) versions. I am very disappointed that I was never able to meet Tony before he passed in 2010. The after party was held not too far from the convention center where the main exhibition was held. The venue was good, but not many athletes mingled and Arnold himself did not appear which was quite disappointing. What was cool was that they have a neon sign reminiscent of something you would likely see at The Last Resort in Venusville. (Total Recall)
IN SYDNEY FOR GENISYS

Once again Arnold graced our shores, this time for the promotion of Terminator Genisys. I flew to Sydney for the occasion, thanks to my mate Dan we got tickets to the preview footage screening. Unfortunately we were inside the theatre for Arnold's arrival but I did get to sit a few metres away from him for the quick Q&A that preceded the 20 minutes of footage (which I tried not to watch as I was trying to stay spoiler free). The next day he appeared on The Project a local light hearted news program to which I was able to attend thanks to my wonderful wife Brodie. As luck would have it I was seated on Arnold's side of the studio and as they were leaving his legendary PA Daniel recognised me and gave a quick hello.
SCHWARZENEGGER WATCH LINE

Together with Magnum Group, Arnold has announced his own Swiss made watch line. They will be themed with the legend collection, the hero collection and the heritage collection. Not sure how many different models yet, though it looks like the same watch will be available in different colour styles. Priced from $400 to $1500 US they will be more affordable than his $50,000 Audemars Piguet.
Update July 2017 - The watch line has reportedly been discontinued...that sucks.

As Daniel led me to Arnold we passed Heather, Arnold's partner, so I didn't pass up the opportunity to say hello and shake her hand. Then I moved to Arnold as Daniel got his attention, I shook his hand and he reached for the pen. I hadn't anticipated getting this close to him let alone a signature I was just hoping for Daniel’s. He is usually mobbed so it’s hard to get one on one time. As he was about to sign he noticed Daniels signature and made a joke about it (as seen in the pic below). I was taking selfies like mad when Heather very kindly offered to take a photo, so the pic above was taken by her. Seconds later the group was on the move, as Heather gave my phone back I asked for a picture with her. I can't thank Daniel, Heather and of course Arnold enough for this once in a lifetime opportunity (well maybe it will happen next year).

I paid for the top ticket which included a professional photo with Arnold, although understandable it was a production line with only seconds to get into place then snap and go. Once I had the photo taken I hung around like a groupie in hopes that Arnold and entourage would appear through the door I had just exited. Suddenly there they were, I went straight for Daniel, Arnold's right hand man (I also want to meet people in Arnold's world, friends, family, co-stars and colleagues). He was surprised when I asked him for a signature, but signed with no hesitation. He then asked if I was with TheArnoldFans.com and when I said yes he took me straight to the big man. THE AUSSIE ARNOLD CLASSIC

The first ever Arnold Classic Australia was held over 3 days and included around 30 sports including power lifting, bodybuilding, arm wrestling, different martial arts, fencing, golf and pole fitness. There were some big stars like Jay Cuter and Ronnie Coleman to name a few. There were almost 200 stands with everything from supplements to clothing to sports equipment. It is only going to get bigger and better. Dexter Jackson took out the inaugural pro title and Eddie Hall broke the World Record Deadlift with 462kg!!!
ARNOLD IN AUSTRALIA

I was lucky enough to go to both the Derrimut Gym and the 21st Century Financial Education Summit that Arnold talked at when he recently visited Australia. While I could sit here and explain everything that happened, I'll leave that to my new found mate, Dan Delts, who I started a conversation with at the first of the events. He wrote up a good article that outlined the day.
There are a few variations to my story, such as I live quite close to the Derrimut gym so I didn't need to get up so early. I must say though that we did have the same excitement levels and our obsession with Arnold was the same. While my killer moustache is what made him want to talk with me, I think he also liked my new Last Stand T-shirt.
